My name is Georgina Adwoa Ayebea Fofana. As a Ghanaian educator and mother, I’ve seen firsthand how vital it is for each of us to embrace the ourselves , our culture and heritage. It grounds us, shapes who we are, and helps us grow into the best versions of ourselves. This profound experience is the driving force behind Ayebea's Sankofa Marketplace.
Ayebea's Sankofa Marketplace is more than just a business to me—it’s my heart and soul. Growing up with very little, I know how much it means to have someone believe in you and to support you when you need it most. That’s why I created this marketplace—not only to share the beauty of Ghanaian culture with the world, but to give back to the talented artisans who make every piece by hand. Every handmade product you see tells a story—a story of tradition, of passion, and of the lives of the creators who pour their hearts into their craft.
